The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce is joining regional counterparts to formally launch the Network of Caribbean Chambers of Commerce (CARICHAM) this week.
Executive Directors of sixteen (16) Chambers of Commerce are expected to be in attendance.
Executive Director of the DAIC Lizra Fabien will represent the local chapter at the Barbados signing ceremony.
Fabien explained that ” we are looking to promote trade and investment in our Caribbean with other regional trading partners, and to also cooperate on programs that will benefit the members of our chambers. We are looking at fostering innovative and strategic collaboration among our members so that we can be more competitive globally.”
She continued that business to business market intelligence will also be on the agenda as well as share experiences and best practices in areas such as disaster risk reduction, trade and investment, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
