Director of PAHO Says Carnival In Dominica Next Year Should Be Carefully Considered

Regional DIRECTOR of the World Health Organization for THE Americas Dr. Carissa Etienne says hosting of activities that may bring together large numbers of people such as carnival may have to be seriously considered.

Her comments following a question raised by Dominica’ Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit on Anou Palay as to whether Dominica might be ready to host carnival and how do we do this as safely as possible

She says once people congregate there is always an opportunity for infections.
