The Government of Dominica on Monday launched Work Online Dominica, a pilot initiative to get young Dominicans working online.
Work Online Dominica is run through the Ministry of Public Works and The Digital Economy, in collaboration with IsraAID and the UNDP.
The goal is to teach 60 young professionals, over the course of 12 weeks, how to get started working online, find new sources of income, and increase financial stability.
Minister of Public Works and the Digital Economy Cassanni Laville said the programme will help participants to become successful entrepreneurs in the new technology-based economy.
Laville said the programme will empower participants to make money, working online.
