DHTA President Says Tourism Industry Still Plagued By Uncertainty
The hotel and tourism industry is entering 2022 with uncertainty, despite predictions of a rebound in tourism.
President of the Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association Avril Coipel told Kairi News hoteliers continue to struggle with low occupancy levels and the inability to project sales.
As a result of DHTA’s strong advocacy, tourism authorities responded with the Safe in Nature Programme to cushion the effects of covid 19. However, Coipel says the evolving nature of the coronavirus remain a threat to the hoteliers’ livelihoods.
