Disabled persons here will, in coming years, engage in the development of technological skills.
That was the report of Executive Director of the Dominica Association of Persons with Disabilities (DAPD) Nathalie Murphy, who addressed a conference to launch the organization’s five year Development Plan on Thursday.
Murphy highlighted technological development as a focus for the organization, and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), presented the DAPD with ICT equipment to assist with this goal.
Another focus of the organization will be on public education and advocacy for the disabled.
Murphy stressed the importance of the inclusion of the disabled for the development of Dominica’s society.
