$150,000 US dollars was donated to the Dominica Association of Local Government Authorities (DALCA) last week, toward rebuilding community structures.
The donation came from the Government of Japan, who held a virtual conference with DALCA on Friday.
Chairman of DALCA Yoland JnoJules told reporters the funds will go toward rebuilding two community centers and two storm drains here.
JnoJules says the projects will begin this month.
He touted the financial responsibility of DALCA, and committed the organization to continued partnership with Village Councils.
