President of the Dominica Association of Teachers Celia Nicholas says while we go through the process of rebuilding a resilient country it’s also important that we initiate a Dominica chatter on what we expect of every Dominican who has attended school or leaving school.
She believes the mind-set of our youth need to change so that they can show more appreciation for education and the school system.
Nicholas has also expressed disappointment in the manner her school “The Community High’ was treated by locals after Hurricane Maria.
Nicholas was speaking at a National Consultation at the Goodwill Parish hall Monday under the theme ‘Building the World’s first resilient country-Our Collective responsibility’.
Mrs. Nicholas says the Dominica Community high school was not severely affect by hurricane Maria however there was the human intervention which created a setback for the institution.
