Construction of international airport to begin in early 2021
Construction of a new international airport for Dominica will begin in the first quarter of 2021.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit made the announcement during his Independence Day Address on November 3.
Mr. Skerrit said the airport will provide the island with the capacity to accept long haul flights, and improve access to the island and its attractiveness as a place to do business.
Mr. Skerrit assured the residents of the Wesley area that Government would seek to minimize the inconvenience brought on by the airport construction.
