Churches prepare to reopen after weeks of closure due to COVID19
Dominica’s churches prepare to reopen for the first time this weekend since Government imposed a ban in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reverend Camus John of the People’s Pentecostal Family Church in Roseau says the church has planned for social distancing and other safety measures for services scheduled for the weekend.
Last week, Health Minister Dr. Irving Mc Intyre announced that churches could reopen this weekend, but stressed the need to maintain safety protocols.
John says, among other measures, social distancing markers will be placed across church seating.
