Chief Executive Officer Of CREAD Says Gender Sensitivity Must Be Expressed In Both Disaster Response And Prevention
Chief Executive Officer of the Climate Resilience Execution Agency for Dominica (CREAD), Francine Baron says, women’s empowerment and support are critical for gender advancement in the effort to build a climate resilient nation.
Speaking at the International Women’s Day Ceremony earlier this week, Baron stated gender sensitivity must be expressed in both disaster response and prevention.
According to Baron, women in developing countries are often the first to respond to environmental capital management. However, it is sometimes neglected to recognize the contribution of women to the survival of the planet.
