CARICOM Chair calls for air transport owned by people of the region
CARICOM Chairman Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says LIAT’s former shareholders must now look to secure reliable air transport for citizens following a decision to liquidate the regional air carrier.
Gonsalves, who is responsible for Air Transport within the CARICOM body spoke during an ECCB panel discussion, ‘Pandemic and Air Transport’ on Monday.
Gonsalves said Dominica and other islands must move quickly to secure alternatives to LIAT, preferably owned by people of the region.
