Cancer patients advised to exercise extreme caution during COVID19 pandemic
Persons diagnosed with cancer here have been advised to stay indoors by the President of the Dominica Cancer Association (DCA) Yvonne Alexander.
Alexander says the DCA head office has closed its doors to the public due to COVID-19, but members can request assistance via e-services.
According to Alexander, cancer patients have been advised to stay away from the public as they are immune-compromised, which makes them susceptible to the Coronavirus.
Alexander says the Oncology clinic at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital is still open to patients, but encouraged cancer patients to find medical personnel within their health districts to avoid trips to the hospital.
