Bars to remain closed despite lifting of ban on liquor licenses

Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Superintendent of Police Davidson Valarie on Monday stressed that bars in Dominica should remain closed despite the lifting of a ban on liquor licenses.

Government announced on the weekend that citizens could now purchase alcohol in shops and supermarkets following a ban imposed in response to COVID-19.

Valarie said this does not mean that bars can reopen.
