Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has revealed further details of plans to build a new international airport in Dominica.
Prime Minister Skerrit had said last week that his Government was assessing five proposals for the funding and construction of the international airport.
He also revealed that a company was contracted for plans for the airport. “We went ahead based on advice that we got”, He said. “A highly reputed American firm that designed airports in the Caribbean, in China, in Europe and several States in America. They did all the studies required to determine professionally a suitable site for the airport.”
The Prime Minister also revealed plans to bring the representatives from the firm to Wesley, the proposed site location, to present their plans to members of the community.
