Agriculture Minister Views Wednesday’s Consultation As Timely As Government Aims To Promote A Sustainable And Resilient Agriculture
Minister for Agriculture and National Food Security Fidel Grant, has regarded the consultation as timely as Government has seen the need to prepare all stakeholders of the agricultural industry for any and all opportunities available within the sector.
Government in its thrust to become the world’s first climate resilient nation in the world hosted a stakeholder’s consultation on Wednesday evening to discuss ways to strengthen the value chain to promote food security and achieve sustainable growth in the agriculture sector.
According to Minister Grant, government has invested heavily into the agricultural sector over the past five years.
Grant is confident in government’s investments and is therefore urging farmers to consider technological advancements for the sector which he says will aid in efficiency and yield better results.
