Agriculture Minister Grant Boasts Of Dominica’s Investments In Agriculture
Agriculture Ministers across the Caribbean including Dominica met on Wednesday to map the way forward in promoting sustainable and resilient agriculture in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to discuss ways to ease the impact of rising food and fertilizer prices on the region, the world’s largest net food exporter.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) 37th Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean, is hosted by the Government of Ecuador.
Dominica’s Minister for Blue and Green Economy, Agriculture and National Food Security Fidel Grant updated the meeting on Government’s investment in digitalization of the economy with a focus on digital agriculture initiatives.
Minister Grant went on to note investments in technology have proven to be critical as proven by the challenges faced by the small island in recent times.
