Ag, Chief Education Officer backs recommendation to review school curriculum
Acting Chief Education Officer Dr. Jeffery Blaize has supported a recommendation from the country’s Prime Minister to review the school curriculum.
Blaize recently received an acting appointment to the position of Chief Education Officer.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has repeatedly raised concerns about the focus of the curriculum used in Dominican schools.
Blaize agrees that curriculum offerings must be assessed for relevance.
Meantime Blaize says while he welcomes his new appointment, he recommends a collaborative effort to advance the programmes of the Ministry of Education.
