Dominica’s Agriculture Sector will soon benefit from a World Bank funded project to the tune of 82million EC dollars.
Agricultural Consultant in the Ministry of Agriculture Kervin Stephenson is heading the project.
He says the objective is to restore the agriculture sector post-disaster.
One of the components is the provision of inputs such as planting materials.
Stephenson says another significant component relates to tools and equipment.
“Tools and equipment are very important first of all for tools which were lost” he went on that each field of agriculture will be receiving specific packages, banana/plantain, field crops, vegetables, root crops, tree crops.
He stated that “each package has different accommodations and will be flexible, so its based on the specific type of crop, equipment and planting material”
