767 Bike Life issues statement following recent upsurge in Covid 19 cases.

Earlier on Thursday the group, 767 Bike Life issued a statement on their facebook page encouraging patrons who participated at their event to get tested.

The statement read in part, “From all reports made by the authorities, the current increase in local cases are linked to events held on the weekend of July 23 to 25.

As organisers of the tour, we encourage our patrons who believe that they have been exposed to Covid-19 to follow the recommendations and protocols set by the ministry of health.”

Meantime, Senior council Anthony Astaphan has expressed disappointment in the circumstances surrounding the recent surge in Covid-19 in Dominica.

Speaking on the Next Level Show recently, Astaphan says he believes that the group who held the activity which began the cluster of cases should apologise to the nation.
