The Dominica Solid Waste Management Cooperation is continuing its educational drive on composting of certain waste material as to lesser the amount of garbage that is deposited at the landfill.

Public reactions officer of the Dominica solid waste management cooperation Jeno Jacob is advising person who do not have backyard space to Find a tree where composing can be done to help contribute to the growth of trees on the island following hurricane Maria.

Jacob says it could be done like a sandwich so that it looks a bit attractive and yield positive results at the end.

Jacob say residents should feel free to contact the solid waste management cooperation or the ministry of agriculture for sound advise on how to go about creating compost and at the same time protects and martin safe and clean environment.
