30 Individuals were trained in Initial Damage Assessment for Disasters

On Wednesday, 30 individuals from across Dominica were trained in Initial Damage Assessment for disasters.

The training was conducted by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Dominica, and forms part of a 12-month USAID project launched here to improve disaster preparedness.

Project Assistant at IOM Jasmine Vidal said the training aims to build capacity within communities, by training community members in assessing damage after a disaster strikes.
