$2.6 Million Dollars Spent in Kalinago Territory Small Business Development
Minister for Kalinago Affairs Casius Darroux says the government of Dominica has spent well over 2.6 million dollars in the kalinago territory alone on small business development.
He says post Hurricane Maria the ministry has spent over 115 thousand dollars to assist 35 shop owners.
Mr. Darroux says the reason behind this is to allow a certain level of economic activity to take place with the territory.
Darroux says the ministry has not cancelled the small business program for person in the Kalinago territory as this program will provide an avenue for person to provide some form of self-employment for themselves and their females.
The Kalingo Minister says another key area of that his ministry will focus on is the cassava processing plant as that plant will provide employment for several individuals.
